Looks good.  Instead of stain, I would have used an acrylic paint.

Yeah, that went through my mind for an instant but I'm not a fan of painting my stuff and would have been stuck with a glob of paint left over LOL

We do our best to talk customers out of coloring our products simply because what they envision and what the wood will take are often 2 different things.

Water items, no problem since we do lots of them. Green pasture, no problem we do lots of them.

However once in awhile we get an "unshakeable" customer and no matter what we say, they are adamant in their color scheme...

This then is one of those customers. The "Matt Pan" shadow with Bronze hooks - all black except for the feather!

It took 2 different stains to get the "purest" black we could...

Thanks in advance for looking..

If you want a true, ebony like black, India ink is the ticket. Cheap and, easy. But not found on a street corner. 😉

I like it just as it is! The red accent really makes it.

Most of the ornaments I sell are natural BB occasionally one calls for a bit of color. This is an example of one of my most popular ornaments.  I believe it is a BJ Holm design, cut from 1.5mm ply (~1/16")

We call it Happy Dog.
