But compared to Olson blades, I find it much harder to see the tooth direction. The blades have a short flat end and a longer flat end. Is the short side the top of the blade? Quote
Mick Posted December 10, 2011 Report Posted December 10, 2011 WolfmoonCT, The FD #1 blades I have both ends are the same length. I have had them for a few years. You should be able to tell the tooth direction by feel or lay the blade on a white piece of paper. Good luck. Mick Quote
Travis Posted December 12, 2011 Report Posted December 12, 2011 I dug out my FD#1 last night and had the same problem. I just felt the blade the best I could and hoped for the best. I've been finding that I enjoy the FD Puzzle Blades the most with those tight cuts. They're pretty aggressive, but I'm stack cutting and that helps. Quote
WolfmoonCT Posted December 12, 2011 Author Report Posted December 12, 2011 I was only using them cause I accidentally sucked up my tube of Olson #2R blades.. bout 4doz went clanging through, and I had orders to cut. My new Olson blades arrived today. I prefer Olson.. Seems the FD blades to me don't turn as well as the Olson ones. Quote
