BadBob Posted December 25, 2022 Report Posted December 25, 2022 The snowflakes are so distracting that I find it extremely difficult to read or type in a comment. It's like I have bugs crawling around on my screen. I am typing this somewhere else and pasting it in. I was trying to search but found that I could not effectively read the results and gave up. danny and OCtoolguy 1 1 Quote
ChelCass Posted December 25, 2022 Report Posted December 25, 2022 I love the snowflakes. Reminds me of how nice and cozy it is inside. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
Dan Posted December 25, 2022 Report Posted December 25, 2022 Phew! I thought my floaters were back. ChelCass and OCtoolguy 2 Quote
preprius Posted December 25, 2022 Report Posted December 25, 2022 Yea pretty patterns falling. Next month use the pattern of the month. have a script that does it based on likes of bragging rights. But limit it to 10 sec for each new page accessed. Also do it based on location of users. Below equator is what I am thinking. More ideas... Each month choose a different wood type Maple. beech, ash, walnut ..... leafs for fall season? Hearts for valentines day..... Okay it seems that I have used some of my creativity. I need to save some for the rest of the holiday projects. OCtoolguy 1 Quote

If you’ve been around awhile, you know I do this once a year. Why? Because it’s Christmas, I like it, and I wanted to do something special for SSV to mark this special day. This is the only snow you can predict. Sorry you don’t like it. Come back tomorrow. Until then, let it snow. meflick, jbrowning, bobscroll and 6 others 6 3 Quote

CharleyL Posted December 25, 2022 Report Posted December 25, 2022 This is the first snow that I've seen so far this year. It's been cold enough (8 deg F yesterday) but not a single real snow flake so far. I like snow a time or two every year, but don't want heavy snow, and want it to melt before it becomes dirty snow. Thanks Travis for giving me my first sight of snow in 2022. Charley OCtoolguy and ChelCass 2 Quote
rjweb Posted December 26, 2022 Report Posted December 26, 2022 Thx Travis, its been awhile since I saw snow, RJ ChelCass and OCtoolguy 2 Quote
Hudson River Rick Posted December 26, 2022 Report Posted December 26, 2022 YOU GO TRAVIS!!! Let it snow, there are other sites people can visit untill the storm is over. OCtoolguy and ChelCass 1 1 Quote
Denny Knappen Posted December 26, 2022 Report Posted December 26, 2022 I was on for just a short while yesterday and noticed the snow flakes. It didn’t bother me, so I kept on scrolling. Thanks for the festive site, Travis. OCtoolguy and ChelCass 2 Quote
meflick Posted December 26, 2022 Report Posted December 26, 2022 @BadBob the snowflakes are gone - you can come back now. I am sorry if they bother you, I was on yesterday and know they are only for the one day and find them a little festive. ChelCass and OCtoolguy 2 Quote
wombatie Posted December 27, 2022 Report Posted December 27, 2022 I love the snow, keep it coming every year Travis. Marg ChelCass and OCtoolguy 1 1 Quote
don watson Posted December 27, 2022 Report Posted December 27, 2022 I find them a bit distracting but I like them. It started snowing again outside 5 minutes ago and it looks as if it will be getting heavier as the day goes on. No shed for me for a while. OCtoolguy and ChelCass 2 Quote
rjweb Posted December 29, 2022 Report Posted December 29, 2022 Will it stop snowing, are we going to get fireworks for new years, RJ OCtoolguy and ChelCass 2 Quote
CharleyL Posted December 29, 2022 Report Posted December 29, 2022 Maybe the snow could be provided with a "snow on/off button" next year, so everyone would be happy. Charley OCtoolguy and ChelCass 1 1 Quote
