rjweb Posted January 3, 2023 Report Posted January 3, 2023 I look through Craigslist everyday, today someone has an RBI listed with a “ water control container “ never heard of such an item, has anyone else seen this on these saws, I not buying or even looking but was interesting, RJ OCtoolguy 1 Quote
jollyred Posted January 3, 2023 Report Posted January 3, 2023 Not sure, but that might be a drip to keep the blade cooler while sawing metals Tom scrollingforsanity, Scrappile, John B and 1 other 3 1 Quote
kmmcrafts Posted January 3, 2023 Report Posted January 3, 2023 (edited) That's probably a pretty rare find. Hawk used to sell a water cooling system for cutting ceramic and glass etc.. seems like it's make a big mess but maybe the tank sat under the blade to catch the water and cycle it back through.. Edit: Actually they still sell it. https://stores.bushtonhawkstore.com/drip-tank/ Edited January 3, 2023 by kmmcrafts OCtoolguy and scrollingforsanity 1 1 Quote
ChelCass Posted January 3, 2023 Report Posted January 3, 2023 As Kevin said the drip tank is for when you cut glass or ceramics. I have a glass cutting saw and it has a water reservoir and water is soaked up into a sponge that touches the blade when I am cutting my glass. It is for temperature control.
