Puzzles. New year - new patterns.

Not only did I purchase, here is a cut, but not finished project.  This is cut from reclaimed Elm.  Question for Alex - on the leaves it feels like the center line should be through to the end of the leaf so it is two pieces.  The vein stops just before the end.  Is that intentional??  That is the first picture.  Second is the back of the puzzle showing the colour & grain of the wood.  I will get this finished tomorrow and post.

Pattern is correct, some pieces have lines, such way I add more details and avoid small puzzle pieces. Waiting for photos of finished project

Barb, I can’t speak for Alex but from looking at your picture I see 3 pieces connected by locks (all labeled with "2").  If you cut the center line through to the end of the leaf you would have 4 pieces with the top 2 pieces not connected to each other.
