titchmccartney1 Posted December 19, 2011 Author Report Share Posted December 19, 2011 It was a first attempt and so was cut from some cheap pine. I spray painted the pieces and then used a clear varnish on them. I dont think i would so it the same way next though. I will use some hard wood to reduce the amount of sanding and have been told that painting the pieces with acrylic paint might be easier. I am however very pleased with the results and everybody that i have shown think it looks great which obviously i am very pleased about. I havent made a board, I have bought one as I need it to be ready for christmas which I am cross about but i just dont have the time to do it.
