Popular Post Sycamore67
For Christmas, my wife got me a very nice office drafting chair. I am attaching a picture of my old Craftsman chair and the new one. I have a very bad back and this new chair is great for scrolling with much better back support. stoney, NC Scroller, jollyred and 15 others 17

I'm still using my old office chair but it works. No back problems though. Glad you got something comfortable. I have a tall chair like your Craftsman and use it at my Hegner. Your wife did good. scrollingforsanity
Bill WIlson
Sweet! A good chair is vital to the enjoyment of this hobby, IMHO. barb.j.enders, OCtoolguy and scrollingforsanity
Mimi
I got a chair almost like that last year for Christmas. I love it. scrollingforsanity and OCtoolguy
Sycamore67
I am really liking it but am removing the casters for just plain feet. It will feel more secure to me that way. scrollingforsanity, sydknee and OCtoolguy 2
CharleyL
A major step up in scrolling comfort. You are going to scroll more and produce better work now. It took me years to realize that the right chair for the job at hand made a big difference in comfort and work quality. Sycamore67
Thanks for all the comments. Yes, the chair will greatly enhance comfort. My back is held together with screws, links and wires. The chair will allow me more time to sit and scroll. I had been looking at a lot of different ones and this one was perfect. OCtoolguy
Nothing can ruin a day quicker than a back problem. I have a bad back but nothing that can be fixed. I have one leg 3/8" shorter than the other. I've tried lifts and all the other things that have been suggested but after 80 years of being crooked, it just gets sore quickly. I realize that there is more "crooked" about me than my back. LOL. scrollingforsanity
Dak0ta52
I use a drafting chair also. If I start getting uncomfortable in a certain position, I'll just change the height up or down a little. Works great. Congrats on your back saver! My chair gets used at the saw and at the bench, so being able to wheel around is a plus, for me. OCtoolguy
Ron Johnson
Congratulations Larry on your new chair. There’s nothing worse than back problems I use a saddle stool which keeps your spine straight. Very comfortable and takes up little space. Sycamore67
So far I am enjoying the chair and was not too expensive and less than $200 on Amazon. I wanted to sit in a chair before I bought it but I could not find any close to me. So we got this one and quite happy.
