Dan Posted January 21, 2023 Report Share Posted January 21, 2023 50/50 boiled linseed oil and mineral spirit. I use it all the time. If you keep it in a small sealed container (small mason jar works) it'll last a long time. If it ever seems to get a little thick, just add a little more mineral spirit. Bill WIlson Posted January 22, 2023 Report Share Posted January 22, 2023 There really is nothing sacred about the ratio. a 50/50 mix will help the BLO soak into the wood a bit, but so will 40/60 or 60/40. I typically use BLO full strength. I've gotten the results I wanted without thinning and without extra applications. Anyone should feel free to customize the blend however suits their needs.
