Rich Mullins in Sycamore

First of all I found out I really like Sycamore wood. I found a new consignment store about 2 hours away with a large variety of kiln dried sawmill wood. Woohoo!!!

Cut this for an old friend. Rich was a Christian music artist. I especially liked him because though he made tons of money he gave most of it to a Native American Reservation in New Mexico where he lived and taught children music. He took a salary of $20,000 a year from the millions that would have been available to him.

same one you mentioned to me earlier here in Madison?  If so and you got that close I was only another 30 minutes down the road.

Oh well         Danny  :+}

Yes it was. I didn’t remember you lived there till I was posting this.

 Nicely done as usual, Charlie. I'm not familiar with the actor but you did a great job with the pattern from the photo and then transferring it to wood. I am also happy to find out that sycamore is a wood that can be used for scrolling. I have a bunch of sycamore on my property and have already downed several. I actually thought it would be too light, almost like balsa, after drying. Now that I know I can put my new bandsaw, jointer and planer to work. That's what i purchased them for anyway.
