I try to finish ornaments in batches and sometimes the batch ends up being a couple hundred at a time.. Roberta Moreton Posted February 5, 2023 Report Share Posted February 5, 2023 I put a wire shelf in my room ( the cheap closet ones), and made hooks out of wire coat hangers (from dry cleaning). I put the screw eye in the top of the ornament, stick in a hook, dip, wipe, hang. I spread newspaper on the floor. Caution: stuff gets put on top of the shelf. It is just 3/4 pine strips with 2 inch brad nails (shot from the other side) then add a base. I usually do in the garage as you can get over spray. As you can see the last job was white ornaments. barb.j.enders Posted February 5, 2023 Report Share Posted February 5, 2023 I have a couple of "racks" that I use. I have an old screen that I place between two sawhorses. Taped an cheap plastic shower curtain under it so the finish will drip onto that. Or, I have an cookie cooling rack zip-tied to a cardboard box and hooks for hanging ornaments. Wichman Posted February 6, 2023 Report Share Posted February 6, 2023 Here is what I started using last year, works well and you can really load up the ornaments. I use ornament hangers. These racks are available is a variety of sizes and are designed to stack. If I have longer pieces to dry I'll support the ends on buckets.
