shylyn
Is there a trick to removing the tension knob rod on a craftsman scroll saw? I need to replace it, but can't get it to budge. Any suggestions?
toolbeltman
I would tap it with a small piece of wood (handle of a small wire brush size) to see if it breaks free...penatrating oil might help if tapping it doesn't work...I'm sure others will chime in with some sugestions. It might be a left hand thread?
revroberts
What is the model of the saw. I just received a Craftsman for Christmas and it is a counter clockwise release if that helps.
shylyn
Thank you for the input. I turned it in each direction so often, it was just extremely tight, so after soaking it with some WD40, and turning it counterclockwise, it finally broke free. Now to get it back together so i can get back to my projects. Thank You again!!
