Dave Monk
While working in my shop this morning I nicked my Thumb on my scroll saw blade. I always blead a bunch even if it's something minor. Of coarse I was getting blood all over the project I was working on. I thought that if they can use super glue instead of stitches it might just make a good bandage. Worked great. wombatie, OCtoolguy, scrollingforsanity and 3 others 5
rjweb
Dave I used the band aid glue stuff instead of band aids and works great, when you get surgery now a days they just glue it no more stitches, RJ scrollingforsanity, Dave Monk, OCtoolguy and 1 other
Dak0ta52
That's was the purpose of super glue when it was invented. I bleed like a stuck hog when I nick myself also due to the meds I'm on. Glad you got it stopped before you bled to death. wombatie, OCtoolguy, barb.j.enders and 2 others 4
kmmcrafts
When they say blood sweat and tears went into a project they didn't actually mean real blood sweat and tears I don't think.. My son has always used super glue.. even as a young child he'd rather have the glue than a band-aid... I'd rather have a band-aid myself but the glue does work well.. Joe W.
Many years ago I heard of a guitar player who played so hard he ripped the callouses from his fingers from time to time and used super glue to glue them back on and kept playing. Don't know if it's true but makes for a good story. OCtoolguy, Dave Monk and scrollingforsanity 2

I used super glue to coat my fingers' ends when I had a cut so I could still play. scrollingforsanity and OCtoolguy
rustynail
Supper glue works good for smaller cuts. In the shop I have a product called BleedStop for small and larger cuts just in case. Its a good product for an big emergency or just a little one. https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwj5j6Hlj7f9AhX9bG8EHSs8BMgYABANGgJqZg&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAESauD27PnrifDBeIS7l_uW6LjisfXB8JgCyN5pe36_TbVCnB5QoE786PgQ2xpRJRq9R4zPzcO0Ez1lONNndFo4XR-mMu8tOsgs9PuRXDWitoezEtYSyzNuV_tbPJTwe_r1zYMAXLV3h7azcvQ&sig=AOD64_0OEA58oeJE3I2KqKLOQCMyyjGy2g&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwip-pblj7f9AhVvjYkEHbRfAEYQ9aACKAB6BAgHECI&adurl= Edited February 28, 2023 by rustynail OCtoolguy
