Alex Fox Basket C16

[Denny Knappen]

Alex Fox Pattern of Basket C16. I enlarged the pattern by 30% to fit 1/4" x 10" square Baltic Birch plywood. Cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using #1 MGT blades. Pilot holes drilled with #68 HSS twist drill bits. Sanded with a Mac Mop and finished with two coats spray Lacquer Clear Gloss. Comments welcome.

Looks great,  I made a couple of his baskets, they are fun to make and impressive to look at.

Thanks Jerry.  Cutting is easy.  The glue up takes precision and time.

Baskets are always fun and easy to cut while the results is somewhat mind boggling. They are quite attractive to look at and people who see them seem to always be amazed wit wonderment. A project to be proud to display and it is useful at the same time. Glad to see  you enjoying making them. Yours look really nicely done too.

Thanks Dick.  I have a pattern on a piece of plywood ready to cut.  When someone looks at the baskets, I explain that it came from one piece of wood.
