Popular Post Phantom Scroller
Made this from 1/4" ply experimented with tape reference the bottom tape straight across then stained it and this is how it turned out. Quite happy with it to go to market next week with some mini eggs in. Roly goldfish, Dan, scrollntole and 15 others

Scrappile
That turned out real nice. I would have never thought of staining like that. Phantom Scroller
Dak0ta52
I must say these type bowls use to not impress me but they have grown on me. I'd love to cut one but have so many other projects I also want to cut. Just not enough hours in a day and time behind the saw. By the way, excellent job. Really like the way you stained it to make the spiral. Phantom Scroller

Yes Rod I know what you mean they are so time consuming but the wife uses them for potpourri must have many other uses I didn't have different woods at the time so tested out the tape and staining might try tape and painting next the more you look into these there are so many different patterns out there. Have fun with your projects I have a few half done one's . Roly Dak0ta52

Looks well cool Imagine the pattern cut out flat on table and look at the cross in the middle of the bowl it was literally a cross of tape straight across then I stained the the rest I tape across on both sides pulled the tape off and then glued by move one segment at a time around and hey presto the design. When I do another I will take a picture. Because I'm planning on painting one instead of stain. Hope this helps. Roly Gene Howe
