Alex Fox Basket C-30

My latest Alex Fox bowl or basket. I think this is C-30. I used 1/4 Baltic Birch plywood 10" square. Cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using Pegas #1 MGT blades. The glue up took time to get the exact placement of each ring. After sanding with a Mac Mop, coat of spray Lacquer Clear Gloss, sanding and then another coat. Comments welcome.

Very nice indeed. I love making these baskets. I like that they can have a right or left hand twist as you build them up.

I think it looks good to have one each left and right hand at the opposite ends of a dresser or sideboard.

Alex has some great patterns.  I am amazed that he is still producing things as he comes from Ukraine.

Great job, Denny! Those baskets are well received. I also have made many of Alex’s baskets. I started inlaying them on the bottom after a while and doubling up the bottom disk and putting a Steve Good signature coin on the bottom. Sorry to add to your post, but thought you’d like to see them.

Those are super, Joe.   The inlay really adds to the presentation.

Alex is no longer in the Ukraine.  Not sure but maybe Latvia.

I love cutting the baskets as they are rather interesting to do and they don't take a lot of  wood. I cut this pattern also. Great job
