Jack Elam took a pencil to the left eye when he was 11 leaving him blinded in that eye and causing it to drift off center, and likely changing the direction of his future as well. He appeared in many western movies, over 20 episodes of Gunsmoke, got shot down by little Joe Cartwright, and was a great comedic actor in movies like Hot Lead And Cold Feet. The portrait may not be perfect, but it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Thanks @MarieC for suggesting him. I didn't know all that about him and that he was blind in one eye. You are amazing to be able to take any photo and make a pattern out of it...incredible! Will he go on your "Wall of Cowboys"? ....Hmmm, that got me thinking... are their any Cowgirls on your wall...The only one I can think of was Jane Russell... Thank you! No cowgirls yet. I noticed a couple of years ago when I had maybe 30 portraits total that they were all male and white. I corrected that and now have more diversity in race and gender. I had a mishap a couple of weeks ago and knocked down one of my favorites, Frodo and Sam from Lord Of The Rings, and it shattered. My favorite art in the shop is the drawings by my grandkids. I do love your cowboy wall but your Jonny Cash is pretty hard to beat! I am sorry to hear about Sam and Froto....That is heart breaking. Are you going to do another?
