Popular Post Denny Knappen
Four Miniature Birdhouse Ornaments finished this weekend. The patterns are by the late Diane Thompson. The birdhouses are Basswood and Ash. The little birds are Purpleheart. Cut on the Pegas scroll saw using Pegas #6 Super Skip blades. After sanding, dipped in diluted Shellac and sanded again. MarieC
Awww, so cute! I love the 3D look. I googled her and found she has a couple of books on Amazon. Which one did you get the pattern out of for this or did you get it elsewhere? Thanks for sharing Roberta Moreton

Thanks for sharing Some of her birdhouse and Christmas ornament patterns are in issues of Scroll Saw patterns and works magazine. She also has some pattern books available on Amazon. Her patterns are sometimes challenging (for me, at least). MarieC
don in brooklin on
The original mini bird houses patterns were in Creative Woodworking and Crafts. Issue 156 May 2011 which I have I think there were some more in issue 160 Nov 2011 Steve Good has one in his catalogue too. Denny Knappen
Just to clarify, the first patterns were in CWWC May 2011 as Don mentioned. I know there was a second set printed later, but not sure of the issue. The ones posted came from the link given earlier.

There are times I take the challenges when I get tired of the repetition of some of the "favorites" I seem to do in infinity.
