Cross for my wife

I saw this cross posted on Etsy and saved a photo of it to my pictures about 3 or 4 months ago. I finally found the time to make it and I could not find the piece again to see about buying the pattern so I just made a pattern from it. The one I saw was made with different colors of wood inset that was so beautiful but as I got into it I began to realize it was going to be more than I was willing to try so just cut out the skeleton pattern I had made and call it good. I thought it was so pretty the was it was in the photo I downloaded but since I turned away from what I really intended to do, I found I still liked it the way it turned out. I just hope when  my wife returns home the middle of July, she too will like it.

guess what. She liked the pattern but not the color I choose. That means I am going to have to cut another if I am going to get her to like one.

Wow, I love the lilac color...sooo pretty but I love that color and you did such a nice job when cutting it.  Hmmm, guess you will have to see what colors she likes....My husband always looks at my clothes in my closet to figure out what colors I like (most of the time - except when picking out the color to paint our front door!)

I know she loves me, as we are still happily together after more than 61 years married. I have to say I still can not understand how she could possibly want to be with me all these years. I found out yesterday that she was not too excited about the cross as the colors I choose did not agree with her tastes.

Denny I rattle can from Wal Mart. It  dries fast and is inexpensive too.

Sharon is away in Oregon until the middle of July. I guess I will just cut another and when she gets home again, I will let her pick the colors she likes.

I wish my wife would see it that way too. Her tastes and mine do not always match.. This is one of those times.  No big deal as it is not up to me to predict what she likes and doesn't like, it is only mine to ask and since she is away now, I had to take a chance on it. Not right this time.

Guess what???? You are as wrong as I was when I made it. The wife said she did not care for my  color choices.. I  guess that means it becomes another piece on my shop wall.
