Popular Post Sycamore67 Posted June 16, 2023 Popular Post Report Posted June 16, 2023 (edited) This is something I have been working on for two years. I would work on it for awhile, get stuck on something and then come back later. It was a combination of a plan and actual drawings of the car. A lot of different tools were used but many cut with my scrollsaw. The fenders were compound cut and then shaped. The difficult part was fitting the fenders to the curved body. The Spoke wheels were a huge challenge and I made many bad ones before figuring it out.L Edited June 16, 2023 by Sycamore67 jollyred, meflick, Dennisfm56 and 17 others 13 7 Quote

jerry walters Posted June 16, 2023 Report Posted June 16, 2023 WOW Larry, that is really cool. Looks like it came from a model kit. Did you have to purchase some additional tools to do this? Jerry danny 1 Quote

Scrappile Posted June 17, 2023 Report Posted June 17, 2023 That is awesome, well done. Models are a real fun build. Like you it is something I work on off and on over a long period of time. I just purchased a model "T" plan a few weeks ago. That will be project number 3 that I work on sometimes. I am getting old, I have got to step it up some. Quote
Dak0ta52 Posted June 17, 2023 Report Posted June 17, 2023 You've created an awesome piece there, Larry. Fantastic job. danny 1 Quote

rdatelle Posted June 17, 2023 Report Posted June 17, 2023 You did an out standing job on that. I don't think I could do anything like that. Just awesome. Quote
preprius Posted June 17, 2023 Report Posted June 17, 2023 wow, are there 3 layers of spokes? Is each spoke is a separate piece? 5 rims and tires. I am totally impressed. I love the T top to show the interior. So it is truely a 1929 woody. Great job. danny 1 Quote
MarieC Posted June 17, 2023 Report Posted June 17, 2023 Wow! Really beautiful! Love everything about it. Very much worth the time and effort. Quote

Sycamore67 Posted June 28, 2023 Author Report Posted June 28, 2023 Thanks for all the kind comments. It was an enjoyable but challenging project. My dad and I rebuilt a 1929 Model A when I was in high school. It was a great learning experience . Quote
