thawkins57
when I went to Harbor Freight yesterday to buy their 4" belt/6" disc sander for $99.95 and when I checked out, it rang up for $69.95! Yay!!
mikesscrollsaw
That's always a great feeling! Congrats
jdbcarving
I was looking at that one. Wondering if their stuff is going to hold up? I read reviews on a lot of power tools at HF and seems a lot of their stuff is very cheaply made. 99 or 69 is still lot of money if something isn't going to hold up very long. Please post how it works and in a while if you run into problems. Jim B
Joey
Hi, The question you need to answer is how often am I going to use this tool. If the answer is 10 hrs a day 7 days a week you might want to consider a commercial unit. On the other hand if the answer is just once in awhile and you treat it with kid gloves it should last a long time. Joey
shortyrod
you can buy the replacement plans for a couple bucks more and if it breaks they just exchange it right there. no questions asked
Messman
It all depends on the tool you are getting, there are some tools I would recommend in a heart beat and others I would tell you to run from. I have thought about getting the sander that you are talking about, but it looks like changin the belt will be a PIA.
weiner9696
I have had that belt sander for 2 years now and love it. I agree that it is not designed for heavy duty use but for the intarsia shaping and edge sanding that I do the sander does the job nicely.
