Nicely done.

I have not explored spoons yet. You make it look too nice not to try for myself.

I might do a bowl and a spoon might be good for dry stuff like sugar or small candy.  Maybe the peppers for pizza.

Wonderful Spoon!  You have inspired me...I think I am going to make one with a really long handle so when I make my raspberry, apricot or peach jam the steam won't burn my hands.  I will try to make mine fancy like yours.  Excellent spoon.👏

your spoon sure came out well. It would be fun to take it out of the drawer and use it when you have guests and see the look on their faces when they look at your spoon for the first time and wonder where you got such a fancy wooden spoon

Since I still had a bit of the walnut slab left, I made another (smaller) version of the spoon as there wasn't enough material for a full-size one.  I made the "bowl" more modern and deeper than the primitive bowl. Here is an image comparing the two.  Actually, it was quite quick to make and finish as I used the flex wheel sander to shape the handle and the back of the bowl.  I decided to use my rotary tool and Kutzall bit to carve out the bowl.  Finished with raw linseed oil.

They came out great. What did you use to hollow out the spoon part.

I carved the larger spoon and the one with hearts with gouges by hand.  For the smaller walnut spoon, I used a Kutzall burr on my rotary tool. I have been experimenting with different techniques with different types of wood.
