He had kissed a woman, and he had kissed her long and good.” Squints, from The Sandlot. Awesome coming of age movie about a group of young baseball players in the summer of 1962. Originally the glasses were just going to be cut out, leaving the eyes as floaters. I decided to save the glasses, add lenses and put them back in. The water drops are clear JB Weld. I left the eyes as floaters in the pattern since his glasses are so much of his character. Then I decided to save the glasses and paint them and put them back in. THEN I decided to add lenses. My girls with their friends have a movie they watch like a cult movie..."Princess Bride" they seem to have all the lines memorized. I occasionally give one away, and I have a couple hanging in the house, but mostly I hang them on my shop walls. Fortunately I have 9 1/2' walls so I have a lot of extra wall space. I have somewhere around 125 hanging now. They get pretty dusty but I blow them off once in a while. It'd be nice if someday I could give them to a restaurant or something for decoration.
