Started carving at 3/4" thick blank stock, I was only going to go to 1/4" on the leaves, but I wound up going REALLY thin after I did shaping and sanding. Also working on my undercutting technique to get more dimension and shape. Still a bit more sanding before laying the Old Masters clear gel finish on it.
