Right piece of wood

Thanks. Yes, I believe this is spalted oak.

Me too! Since it's caused by fungi it always makes me think how perfection is overrated, and imperfections are what make things/people unique and beautiful.

Actually that’s some Mondo grass around one our trees. I do love using grass as a backdrop.
