Took me a while, but added a backer, stained, and clear coat sprayed on (by my husband) and now in a box headed south for my Mom.  I love how it turned out!

I can see why, very nice.  That is some of the finest veining in the leafs I have see,  Tell us how you did it.  I cut them with a straight blade then go back over them with a spiral..

Thank you.  I cut the flower and the larger veining near the flower with a spiral, but switched over to a straight blade for the rest. Not perfect when you give it the "serious eye", but from a viewing distance it all disappears. Nice how that works out. LOL

Get close enough to a Monet, and you can find flaws.  ....find em fast, though, security doesn't like folks pointing out imperfections.    Nicely cut though!!!

That is a fabulous project. You have given your mother something she will love and treasure for the rest of her life. Think about the many times she will show her friends and family this piece and I know she will have many hours just enjoying looking at it herself.
