These were poly and i just dont like it much,lastest project used lacqure like it lot better. Want that wet wood look to bring out grain but dont want shine. Mick Posted April 21, 2012 Report Share Posted April 21, 2012 Gary, I use Formby's Tung oil FInish on most of my projects. Don't know how you can get a wet look without a shine to it. Maybe knock the shine down with a light rub of very fine sandpaper. Try rubbing it down with a crumpled brown paper bag. Good luck.
