Popular Post dgman Posted November 5, 2023 Popular Post Report Posted November 5, 2023 I have been on a crunch with my biggest show coming up next week. This is a set of patterns by Sheila Landry. The Sleigh is made from 1/4” Maple and 3/8” Sapele for the runners. The reindeer are made from 1/2” and 1/4” Cherry. For size reference, the board they are on is 4’ long. I’m pricing the set at $250! ChelCass, Scrappile, barb.j.enders and 24 others 27 Quote
Joe W. Posted November 5, 2023 Report Posted November 5, 2023 I started to think of how many hours you put into that. My head started hurting, so I stopped. Beautiful work! dgman 1 Quote
Scrappile Posted November 5, 2023 Report Posted November 5, 2023 You really did a great job on it all. I did the sleigh many years ago as one of my first Christmas patterns.. I have the patter for the reindeer, but have never got to them mainly because so much to store. dgman 1 Quote

FrankEV Posted November 7, 2023 Report Posted November 7, 2023 Very nice. Wondering, are you keeping it or planning to sell? If planning to sell I would like to ask what price will you ask, but don't realy expect you to answer. However, if you dont mind, will you be able to price it at an amount you will at least get you material investment back? dgman 1 Quote

It will certainly cover the materials cost but I won’t be making much on it. What it will do is draw people to my booth. If it doesn’t sell, my wife has already claimed it. She’s hoping it doesn’t sell! Uhanalainen, meflick and FrankEV 3 Quote
Uhanalainen Posted November 10, 2023 Report Posted November 10, 2023 This is an incredible piece, I know my wife would love something like this but I don't even want to know how many hours you have invested in that thing with all the reindeers and gluing etc. Even with the details on the sled, it looks like making the reindeer must've taken longer since there's so many of them. Wonderful piece, no matter what. dgman 1 Quote

Wonderful piece, no matter what. Yes, the Reindeer took forever to sand and shape. There are a total of five different patterns for the reindeer including Rudolph. If you want all nine, you cut two of each and just one of Rudolph. I didn’t keep track of time as I worked on this set off and on for two weeks. Certainly not making any money on it, but will make a nice center piece at my booth. meflick 1 Quote
JTTHECLOCKMAN Posted November 12, 2023 Report Posted November 12, 2023 That was absolutely beautiful and whoever bought it got a masterpiece and keepsake for a long time. I bet you had a hard time letting it go. Thanks for showing. Quote
