Popular Post Stretch
I made these two wreaths and donated them. The pattern came from Sheila Landy Designs (Keith). One will be a part of a school's Remembrance Day ceremony and the other went to a family that has veterans who fought in Afghanistan. I consider myself a beginner and I find smallish text to be very challenging but overall pleased with the result. I think I will make the Remembrance Day gifting an annual thing. Dak0ta52
Letters are a challenge even for experienced scrollers, Brian. But it is rewarding to finish a piece with nice, straight letters with no drop outs. You did an excellent job. The paint gives the pieces an extra pop. jerry walters
Brian, those look great. I remember my dad wearing those poppys. People were on the streets of our town handing them out. I was young and I didn't know what they were for. I just remember my dad seemed to wear them with pride and I thought they looked very neat. I'm certain yours will be very much appreciated. Stretch
Thanks for all the kind remarks, I don't know any other scrollers near me so I have no feedback and very little to compare my work to. I tend to be my own worst critic. When I look at something I have completed, I have to remind myself that very few people look at something trying to spot flaws (although I know some people like that !!). It is natural though, when you are also a scroller, to look for details that many people might not even notice. barb.j.enders
