Popular Post dgman Posted November 15, 2023 Popular Post Report Posted November 15, 2023 Two day show last weekend. Set up was on Friday afternoon. I have done this show for about ten years now. I had to miss it last year though as work wast so hectic that I didn’t have time to cut. Because of that, I lost the prime spot. I was way in the back of the room. Despite that, I had the best sales I have ever had. 80% of sales were credit or debit cards. My best sales were anything Christmas, but most sales came from ornaments. I have two price points of ornaments placed on two different trees. The Sleigh and reindeers sold for $250. The large Steve Good Nativity sold for $250. The biggest problem I had was working by myself. At times there were customers waiting in line to buy! Dak0ta52, Dave Monk, wombatie and 12 others 13 2 Quote
meflick Posted November 15, 2023 Report Posted November 15, 2023 Lots of beautiful work that took lots of time is displayed there Dan. So glad you pr sales were so good for you. Perhaps being at the back was a good thing, by the time they got back to you, they had done all their “window shopping,” knew they had seen everything and knew you had the best so they were ready to buy. Congratulations on selling those two big price point items. OCtoolguy, dgman and barb.j.enders 3 Quote
JTTHECLOCKMAN Posted November 15, 2023 Report Posted November 15, 2023 Very glad you did well. Good to hear and maybe there is some hope for the craft shows yet. very nice work and nice display. I know about the working alone thing. I always had to beg my brother to give me a hand because of the carting and setting up and also able o deal with a couple shoppers at one time. Good job. flarud Posted November 16, 2023 Report Posted November 16, 2023 Wow! Very nice set-up and lots of nice work. I could see why you should have some help working the booth. The Merry Christmas plaque with the 2 bells hanging below caught my eye. I have looked on several different sites and do not see it anywhere. Is that something that you created yourself or can the pattern be found somewhere? Thanks, Barry dgman 1 Quote

I went looking for that pattern, but unfortunately, I can’t find where it came from. The copy I have really, really looks like a Steve Good pattern, but I don’t see it in his library. If I find where it came from, I’ll let you know Quote

With the tag words you found he used, I found his blog post from when he posted them (I always like to find his blog post for an item) here: https://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/2021/09/christmas-decorations-scroll-saw.html dgman 1 Quote
