FrankEV Posted December 20, 2023 Report Posted December 20, 2023 Guaranteed you got the worst of that exchange. Realy nice work. Quote
Scrappile Posted December 20, 2023 Report Posted December 20, 2023 That is a beaut. Maybe one these year we should have one of those on here. Be kinda fun. But they are a lot of work to organize and coordinate. I participated in one a year or two ago on another woodworking forum. I think maybe the person I exchanged with was not real excited about me giving him a 3D cut Christmas nut cracker.... ChelCass 1 Quote
Bill WIlson Posted December 20, 2023 Report Posted December 20, 2023 I made a bunch of those several years ago. It's tougher than it looks. Good job! Quote
ChelCass Posted December 20, 2023 Report Posted December 20, 2023 Beautiful Ken, I hope the receiver appreciated all the work put into the ornament. We have had a ornament or two exchange here but people really weren't interested. We had exchanges at another group and instead of a wood ornament I sent him a stained glass angel I made for him along with a stand for her to sit on. Well the wife snagged the angel and poor hubby got the stand................................LOL Scrappile 1 Quote
Scrappile Posted December 20, 2023 Report Posted December 20, 2023 Probably too busy of a time of the year for people to worry an exchange. I can see that. ChelCass 1 Quote
Ken O Posted December 20, 2023 Author Report Posted December 20, 2023 This one went pretty well. It was supposed to be anonymous as to who you got it from but everybody there knows my work. Our receptionist got it and she was super happy. I've done t a few times and its usually pretty good. I got a cool snowman to put in the Christmas village setup at home and way too much chocolate. haha. One of the guys got a clear glass ball and filled it with his custom spice mix he uses for grilling. That was pretty cool. ChelCass 1 Quote
