Popular Post BadBob
They last a long time. I made the train in this photo more than 40 forty years ago. My granddaughter is the train's third owner. This is a photo of the original batch of trains sitting on my workbench. The rest of the trains went to nieces and nephews. Some of this are still being played with. rafairchild2
Robert, totally awesome. I am working on a design for some trains too. I am trying to contact someone, I made trains for her son over 40 years ago. Not sure if she still has them or not, I would love to get photos since it was something I did in high school. Earlier this year, a former girlfriend sent me a photo of some hearts I cut on a band saw and painted red for Valentine's Day my Senior year. She kept them and sent me a photo nearly 45 years later. It totally sucked, so I did an intarsia of an owl in a tree for her. BadBob

Denny Knappen
Over 75 years ago, my dad made simple wood blocks. We would build towers up to the ceiling. These blocks are in our back closet and now the great grandkids play with them. What a joy. Wichman and Greatgrandpawrichard

rafairchild2
I am working on a design for a train and its cars, that will be made up of removable (blocks) shapes. This will be for my grandson as he gets a bit older and understands the concept. Meanwhile good old blocks. Scrappile
You bet, That is so awesome. Great job and what a beautiful little child! I made a little train for my first grandson. But it was not a scroll saw project, and I can not find a picture. It was a very rewarding project.
