Norm Fengstad Posted January 8, 2024 Report Posted January 8, 2024 Finished this steve good pattern yesterday. Pennies are no longer in circulation here in Canada however I saved a can full of Canadian and American pennies. Interesting is not all pennies are the same size Tbow388, jollyred, Fab4 and 4 others 7 Quote
Ron Johnson Posted January 8, 2024 Report Posted January 8, 2024 Interesting. Never heard of this game. Well done Norm. Quote

Never heard of this game Hello Ron, I came across this pattern soon after starting scroll sawing (couple of years ago), liked it, made it, and it's been a favorite seller and requested gift from friends/relatives. I compare it fun wise with the Shut The Box game. But this one allows for multiple players. Quote
Charlie E Posted January 9, 2024 Report Posted January 9, 2024 Me and the grandkids love playing this together. Quote
rdatelle Posted January 9, 2024 Report Posted January 9, 2024 Never heard of that game. Looks great. Quote
scrollerpete Posted January 9, 2024 Report Posted January 9, 2024 The pattern is from Steve Good so far I think I cut and sold over 40 of them but since we do not have pennies any more in Canada, I will change the plan to nickels drop box Quote
heppnerguy Posted January 10, 2024 Report Posted January 10, 2024 you make this sound like a fun game. I think I will go back and look at it on Steve Good's site again and read a little more about it and perhaps make one for the fun of it Dick heppnerguy Quote
Gonzo Posted January 15, 2024 Report Posted January 15, 2024 (edited) I also have sold quite a few of these. Instead of penny drop, I was lazy and used coin drop. The coin drop game pictured is 3/8” Baltic birch, 9x5x2 1/2. With a hinged lid. The penny drop is a bandsaw box, made from alder. The dimensions are 7x3 3/4 x1 3/4. it is a lot of fun to play. I include two rolls of pennies, laminated directions and a $1.00 scratch off. I tell people that the pennies should stay with the game. (Who the heck carry’s pennies these days). The scratch off is used as an example of what you can use as a prize for the winner. Plus, it’s great marketing. Edited January 15, 2024 by Gonzo Quote
