Popular Post Foxfold
Decided to try cutting acrylic and it worked out well. Although this was 3mm, A4 sheet of acrylic but it felt like cutting 6mm, you had to let the blade do the work. I used a #3 Niqua blade and had no problems with any melting that I had anticipated. So all in all quite a good experience. Not easy to photograph though as it's so reflective. Denny Knappen
Very well done. When I cut acrylic, I used a Pegas #3 Supper Skip blade. Foxfold
meflick
Nice job Brenda. The only time I cut acrylic, it was for oval blanks for a “doggie bank” I made a great niece a couple years ago. No where near as detailed as your handsome dog here. Foxfold

goldfish
I find it you put masking tape on the front and back of the sheet it helps to stop the melting effect. Foxfold
MarieC
Brenda, Really nice work. Are you going to put a backer on it, if so what type, or something else like hang it in a window?

This had some kind of plastic film on both sides so I'm presuming that is what helped with the cutting

As my walls are 'cream' I find I quite like the effect. Haven't got a photo of it on the wall but here's one I cut out of wood that's already up. Mark SW
Nicely done Brenda. So how would you hang that? You would need a frame, yes? Or could you use eye hooks on the top?

I hang all my pictures with them 'Command Strips' Mark SW
