My new adventure is getting into scroll sawing, as I picked up a free saw. Since retiring my other hobbies are, fishing rod building, saving vintage Mitchell fishing reels, airbrushing fishing tackle. This summer I got into small engine repair. Dan
Welcome to The Village, Don! If you weren't retired I'd say you don't have time for fishing.

Dan, I try to stay active, as you see. My main interest has been fishing, But age is slowing that down. I think I'll be spending a lot of time trying to get this scrolling down. Maybe make some homemade rod racks.
ChelCass
Welcome to the Village Don. My dad was an avid fisherman, walleye were his favorite but he wouldn't turn his nose up at a nice size perch. There are a great group of friendly helpful people here. Check out each forum for lots of great information. Any question just ask we are always to help a fellow scroller. don309
Scrappile
Welcome to the forum. Looks like a fun hobby you have.. With a scroll saw you should be able to make your own fishing lures. don309

Richard Hotchkiss
Don, Welcome from Ashland, VA. Grew up just south of Erie, PA and did a lot of fishing in area creeks and Lake Erie in my younger days. You will enjoy scroll sawing and everyone on here is very helpful. don309

Liz Weir
Welcome! I'm new to scrolling, too. I've been told the best bass fishing in the US is in this area (Lake Texoma on the TX/OK border). There are a lot of retirees here because of the fishing. I'm kind of retired, but running our ranch keeps me busy.
don309
I mostly fish for Trout & Flounder. Running a ranch, very cool. Being from Philadelphia PA, I sometimes call it the concrete jungle. 8 minutes ago, Liz Weir said: Welcome! I'm new to scrolling, too. But I came to TX 30 years ago; me & "real" winter don't get along too well. I don't love the heat in summer, but it beats those winters!
