I ran across this fellow a while back and now he has his own place on Facebook. He has been in the business of servicing Hegner saws in the U.K. for 30 years or so. He has a ton of helpful info on his site. Check him out. Lots of pictures and how-to advice. Very nice fellow. He also has available an improved drive link that has better sealed bearings and quite a bit larger so it won't crack.

Thanks,  I am old turned 80 and my Hegner is gettin old.  been thinking about replacing the bushing,, both in the saw and myself... I will check into this!

I just checked the FB account. The gentleman is having FB issues, surprise, no surprise. The original page "A saw subject" is still up. the new one with the brand name has been taken down by FB ( he is not Hegner, so it violates the "rules" ).

I found a lot of interesting content. For Hegner owners who have problems and don't know it, it's a great place to check out. Even though my saw is running fine, I did do some alignment checking to make sure everything was just right. And, he did some alterations to a Hegner stand that I really like and will be doing something similar. I have to find a welder in my neighborhood first.
