Popular Post jerry walters Posted May 31 Popular Post Report Share Posted May 31 I started getting interested in cars when I was about 13. For a couple of years I really enjoyed Hot Rod magazine. When I got my first car at 17 I wanted a hot rod, but dad so no way. He did, however, but me really nice 1950 Ford. Drove that car for 7 years. Now, at 84, I got my first hot rod even if I did have to build it my self. This is cut out of Oak and Walnut. I started cutting using a Pegas #7 MGT blade. The cutting was tough, so I tried a Pegas #9 blade. Man, what a difference. First time I used any #9 blade for cutting. Hope you enjoy my first hot rod. Bob, that was my big question, "How am I going to drill that hole?". I thought if I wait until the end I'm not going to be able to get the hole in the right position. I was drilling the holes for the axels and exhaust pipes before I start cutting the answer came to me. Drill the hole for the body before I start cutting. It worked. WALLA!!
