SCA Knights Box

I just finished this box for a friend. her boyfriend and her are in the SCA, and he is being knighted. This is for his knighting. No screws, no metal, with the exception of the clay I pressed into the scroll work, the box is 100% wood, including the hinges. This took alot more work than I thought it would. Let me know what you think about the oven back clay pressed into the scroll work.

Nice box, very good lettering! Was that a stencil??

 

I do the same but with spackling on my carvings on the bases. Then I take some wooden dowels and pencils points and work on the spackling to put

designs in it.. Never done clay.

Never tryed this clay or spackling but did use play dough in some keychains.Nice job!
