Messman
I just finished this box for a friend. her boyfriend and her are in the SCA, and he is being knighted. This is for his knighting. No screws, no metal, with the exception of the clay I pressed into the scroll work, the box is 100% wood, including the hinges. This took alot more work than I thought it would. Let me know what you think about the oven back clay pressed into the scroll work.
DWSUDEKUM
Good work on the box Chris. I like the clay inset. Thanks for sharing it with us. DW
jdbcarving
Nice box, very good lettering! Was that a stencil?? I do the same but with spackling on my carvings on the bases. Then I take some wooden dowels and pencils points and work on the spackling to put designs in it.. Never done clay. Jim B
