buddyodie
Hello, My name is Bud. I live in west central Illinois. I am 55 years old and have been into woodworking since a young teen. I have done everything from basic carpentry to fine finish work cabinetry & basic furniture pieces. Although this has always been a pure passion I have never actually done it for a living. Just a great part time hobby, and the pleasure I have recieved from making all the many pieces for friends and family over the years and once in a while actually making a little money for my efforts. To make a long story shorter, where I work, all of my co- workers always come to me when they have any kind of question on the subject. They know I have alot of wood tools and am always wanting some new tool or gadget that comes out. Therefore, when any of them have or know of someone with something woodworking related for sale, they of course let me know. The past couple of years one of my co-workers had been trying to sell me a Dremel scroll saw that he had. I kept telling him that I really had no practical use for a scroll saw in the type of stuff I do. Due to his persistance, my offering 50 bucks for the saw, and the fact that it was in his wifes way in the basement, I ended up with a pretty decent machine. After playing with it for a little while, and cutting up every scrap of wood that I had on hand, I started to see the possibilities. Needless to say, I bought the saw last November down loaded some easy patterns to play with, got hooked, and keep progressing with every piece I make. Have a good supply of wood, a good supply of blades and a good imagination. I am glad to have found this site to get all the help tips and tricks that I can. (I even have my 10 year old grandson hooked. He loves it!)
