Clayton717
when I buy/get any patterns I scan them into my computer. They are organized there by types/subjects. When I need a pattern I just print it out, it may be printed on a couple sheets depending on size of pattern. I keep all the originals in a couple expandable folders and put them away. Saves a lot of room by saving them all to the computer.

Travis
I wonder if you can get a bunch of manila envelopes. Bag similar designs. I'd imagine the'd stack nicely in a box. Just pull out the theme you want and flip through your designs until you find a pattern you want to cut.

MrsN
I have most of my patterns scanned on my computer, but also have a large pile of things to cut. The printed stack is sorted in folders by type of cutting, difficulty(or more accurately, amount of time it would take to complete) and subject matter. So I have a file of ornaments divided into groups like easy silhouettes for painting, simple scrolled ornaments and complex ornaments. I have a file of 8x10 portrait type sorted easy to hard in animals, landscape, holidays and other. I have a few other files similar but I can't remember all if them right now. This system let's me pick something I feel like cutting fairly quickly which is really helpful since I get limited shop time.

Kepy
I have most of my paper patterns filed in binders. Each binder is labelled with topic such as Religious, Western, animals, cats, etc. At this time I have 15 binders but need to do some splitting as some are getting too full. Robert Phillips
I keep all mine stored on a usb pen drive that way if the pc crashes I wont lose them.
cpowellpumphrey
I use basically the same system as MrsN. Mine are all digital but every few weeks I back them up to a cd. Only costs me about 10 cents per cd and it's cheap insurance. Also when I check my computer for ideas it shows me a preview and I don't have to look through a lot of paper copies or dig through a bunch of folders.
