Scroll saws

Hello All,

Well I was over at EBay and saw a (TD Industrial Professional 16†Variable speed Scroll Saw) I never heard of a TD Ind. Are they any good? I was also looking for a new Delta scroll saw and having a hard time finding them did Delta stop making them? My son made a comment that he wish he had a scroll saw and so I was going to buy him a Delta. That's what I have and I have had good luck with it.

i did a quick search on it cuz i've never heard the name either looks like a cheap Taiwanese saw IMO i wouldnt trust it but i've never had any contact with there tools and also didnt find much for reviews, nothing on the scroll saw

 

as far as the deltas go i think there good company just not a company scroll saws JMO

 

i'm pretty baised now after owning the dewalt saw thou

I've never heard of them either. But a quick Google search shows that they make a lot of products. I'm guessing it's a no-name brand. Couldn't say if it is any good or not. No-name brands are pretty hit or miss.

Karder2, Delta stopped making/selling scroll saws about a year ago. Getting parts for some Delta scroll saws has even become an iffy proposition.

 

This was all a result of "Black & Decker" (ugh ) buying up both the Delta and DeWalt brands. With Delta & DeWalt under the same ownership their scroll saw lines were competing with each other, so the decision was made to drop the Delta lines and go with just the DeWalt.
