Gene Howe
I want to cut multiple designs in three layers of 1/8"BB. How do I adhere the layers to cut them all out individually? Thanks in advance. OCtoolguy
JTTHECLOCKMAN
I assume you are asking how to do stack cutting. There are a few threads here that talk about this but here is the latest. maybe you can pull things from it. many methods to adhere the layers of wood together. https://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/topic/52854-stack-cutting/ OCtoolguy
kmmcrafts
Are you saying you want to stack cut three at a time? The way the question is asked is a bit confusing because you say cutting them individually at the end. If you mean you want to stack cut three at a time of each design.. then there are many methods to achieve that. I mostly use either packing tape or painters tape around the edges of the wood blank.. in certain situations I've used short wood screws in waste areas.. such as if the pattern design is going to be a very large cut and the tape around the edges don't hold the center portion very well.. but I don't so that often.. most projects 12 x 18 inch I just use tape around the edges.. Wichman
Gene, If you are cutting multiple patterns on a single sheet and need to keep the ones - not yet cut - in alignment, then, drill a pilot hole on the outside of the pattern and cut the outside of the pattern without cutting to the outside of the sheet. In the following picture is a project where I cut out tea light holders first, while the rest of the patterns are still locked in place ready to be cut: OCtoolguy
