Popular Post barb.j.enders
This is an H. Botas pattern. I believe this is a piece of Spalted Maple. Finished with varathane. The original pattern has an eyebrow but this piece wasn't wide enough to allow it. I didn't want to shrink the pattern to fit because it would be way to small. I love the way the colours of the wood popped with the finish. heppnerguy, Fab4, ScrollerGuy and 12 others

It is quite thick, but very light. The store had it listed as Spalted Maple.
heppnerguy
I saw the pattern and thought it was very interesting but not one I was interested in cutting myself. I have to agree with you on your wood choices as I like how it came out with it. I am a little amazed had how the tear looked so real too. You have been doing some really interesting project and I always enjoy seeing your work. My shop time is a little slow due to the hot temperatures we are having here. Yesterday was the hottest temperature ever recorded in Southern Arizona in the month of October with a 113 degrees. It should be cooling down pretty soon.
