I like Judy Peterson's Fantasy & Legend Scroll Saw Puzzles book. Lots of really cool puzzles. I've only cut a few of them, but I love the look. I also like Words of Faith by Jeff Paxton. A great collection of Word Art. As far as magazines, I'm always curious what Sue Mey comes up with and I also like Christensen & Burgout Designs. Between their wordart, segmentation and written articles, I always enjoy their contributions.

I don't have a favorite designer, I like to cut what ever catches my eye, but I do like Judy's intarsia patterns. One of the books that I recently bought is by Gary Mackay and is box making for the scroll saw.

I guess if I just HAVE to choose, it would be Dirk Boelman, simply because his name pops up on so many of my patterns. As some know, I do a lot of clocks and such more than portraits. Do enough of that type work, and you'll definately notice his name out there a lot. You'll also see his name along with a lot of other designers. I guess he does some assist work or something. I'm not sure, he just sticks out in my mind from seeing it so much.
