A new scroll saw - Moto-Saw from Dremel

I receive from Dremel a newsletter with this new product - Moto-Saw.

It is a product what worth attentions, at least for beginers?

I don't think this is going to be a good seller.

I don't think it would be useful to a serious scroll sawyer. For the same money I buy a good used saw, if fact that's what I did. You can get a pretty good saw on C/L for $50 to $75. I picked up a nice Craftsman with a stand for $50.

Decades ago; I remember something of the similar idea being around. I can see it used for only certain applications.

 

I do think it is meant as a supplementary tool, not a main one.

The video makes it look like it uses pinned blades, which really limits it's usefulness for hobby work. I like that it can be handheld, which is pretty neat.

I'd have to try it but how do you compare it to what,the project size is limited,if it is pinned bladed thats another minus.it looks like it's model builders machine.
