Popular Post Denny Knappen Posted November 19, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted November 19, 2024 A basket C261 pattern by Alex Fox. I used 1/4" Baltic Birch plywood 10"square. Cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using Pegas #1 MGT blades. Before gluing, an artist in studio at ArtCrafters wanted to stain it. After sanding, gluing, spraying with Shellac, another coat of spray Shellac. Comments welcome. Frank Pellow, FrankEV, RabidAlien and 13 others 16 Quote
FrankEV Posted November 19, 2024 Report Posted November 19, 2024 That looks great. The Blue Stain took your wonderful cutting and assembly up a notch. What kind of stain was used and how was it applied. Me thinks it is actually a dye or water-color paint(?). Quote
Peter N White Posted November 19, 2024 Report Posted November 19, 2024 Looks very good colour makes it. Quote

Denny Knappen Posted November 22, 2024 Author Report Posted November 22, 2024 I checked with the artist, Nela. She painted each ring separate with Liquitex Acrylic Ink. Nela taught art a local elementary school for 25 years. Quote
Old Joe Posted November 23, 2024 Report Posted November 23, 2024 Love it, Denny! I might have to give this technique a try. Quote
