Aquairiam pump

I have a Delta 40-694 and I have broken the blower assy. line that comes off of the side of the saw. I know that there are others on this site who use an aquairiam pump with hose to blow off sawdust. I would appreciate if some folks would weigh in on brand and model of pump that does this job. I don't know what to look for. Thanx in advance. forrest

Man I tried that years ago when I had my old Dremel and can tell you in my case waste of time and effort. How much effort to fix assembly? That would be my suggestion. Maybe jury rig something to fix it. Others may have had better luck with the pumps.

Did just the plastic flex hose break or did the metal part right at the saw break? If just the plastic line those come apart and you can take out the bad links and reconnect it.. Yes it will be shorter but this saw is much like the Dewalt I had and they come with pretty long flex line when new.. I had this happen a few times on my DeWalt.. 

They make a special plier tool to help take apart and put back together.. I never needed them as they pull apart not too bad.. putting them back on can be a struggle though.. It helps a lot if you can heat them up in some really hot water for a few minutes to make the plastic a bit more flexible add a drop of soap to help it slide together..

I used an aquarium pump for years, but they no longer make one like the one I used.

If you want to try an aquarium pump, I recommend the Tetra Whisper. It's cheap ($6.40 today) and lasts a long time. I have several. 

If the Loc-Line is broken, replace it with the real thing. Loc-Line 40413 It will last longer and work better.

I used whatever seemed appropriate from Walmart.  The one I had was adjustable and dual output, so I combined the two outputs to one.  Seemed to work well enough.

I warm the end with a hair blower to be able to disconnect and reconnect.  It’s really not too bad.

Just get the cheapest one walmart sells.  and some clear tubing.

I put the end of a ball pen into one end of the tube to make it more directional and taped the tube alongside the regular tubing.  Works great and is constantly on when I saw instead of only blowing air like the bellows do.  

Total cost should be about $10.

The real Loc-Line is very tight, unlike the knockoffs that usually come on saws. I highly recommend the tool. I changed mine to the real thing because the one that came with the saw would not stay in place and was too short.

I used an aquarium pump on my old dremal it was o.o but also another nuisance on a useless saw

Upgraded my hegner saw with loc-line tubing.  However, purchased the tool to make assembly easier.

Wow, I appreciate all the responses.  I replaced the broken segment  on line but could not get line attatched to nipple. I tried hot water, blow dryer and cussing without any luck. Finally, I messed with it until it was too short. I'm not sure how I will proceed but i'll let ya'll know how it came out. Merry Christmas to all...... Forrest.....
