Popular Post Scrappile Posted December 26, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted December 26, 2024 This is one of Charles Hand's patterns. I'm not sure how I want to finish it yet, but if someone wants to practice their cutting of inside and outside curves, this is a real good one to try. None of the cuts are real difficult, but there are a lot of them. If I were teaching a scroll saw class, I would show the basics, then tell the students to get one of these patterns to practice with. wombatie, BadBob, jollyred and 13 others 13 3 Quote
preprius Posted December 26, 2024 Report Posted December 26, 2024 Since the screen shows snowflakes, the bull looks like he is frozen from ground up. Wow, great effort. If I was your student I would fail this project. Probably just barely pass your course. As for finishing ideas, not a winter scene, make the little tiny branches green for spring growth. Practice painting. To protect the fragileness it probably should be framed with a Sajuaro catus next to it. You did good. Scrappile 1 Quote
MarieC Posted December 26, 2024 Report Posted December 26, 2024 Paul, that is amazing! What type of wood did you use to cut this (and thickness). If it was me, I wouldn't add any color except maybe shellac or the normal amber from some of the oil finishes. Nice work! Scrappile 1 Quote

Maybe a little more took three hours for me to cut the parameter. Felt like it went on forever! GPscroller 1 Quote
BadBob Posted December 27, 2024 Report Posted December 27, 2024 It looks like something I would try to see if I could do it. Quote
