red river Posted December 26, 2024 Report Posted December 26, 2024 I recently started a thread about broken blower hose on my Delta 40-694. Here are some pics on how I went about fixing it. The kit worked fine. I got hose @ amazon for $ 8.00 and change. I got pliers from Zoro for $ 17.00 including shipping. Everything is cool...Right?. Not so fast, I turned the machine on its side to take off small plate that has the nipple on it. This made it where I could get pliers on the nipple and attatch hose. I then noticed something about my locking mechanism that holds the arm up and down. I have pics...Is it supposed to look like this ? If not, does anyone know how I should go about fixing it. Here's hoping someone can point me in right direction....forrest Quote
JTTHECLOCKMAN Posted December 26, 2024 Report Posted December 26, 2024 (edited) More info needed. What does the locking pin do and why do you need it? Do you have a manuel to help troubleshoot? Isn'T one way is locked and other way is open? I can not find a video which shows it in action or even talked about. Edited December 26, 2024 by JTTHECLOCKMAN OCtoolguy 1 Quote
Ctutor Posted December 26, 2024 Report Posted December 26, 2024 CAN'T HELP WITH THE MECHANICAL PART BUT HEAT SHRINK TUBING WILL FIX THE REPLACEMENT OF BLOWER HOSE PROBLEM. Dan and OCtoolguy 2 Quote

It works fine....I just kinda freaked out when i saw the spring that I had never noticed before and figured something was wrong.. Have a good one...forrest OCtoolguy 1 Quote
Roberta Moreton Posted December 28, 2024 Report Posted December 28, 2024 I would press that back in there! Quote
JTTHECLOCKMAN Posted December 28, 2024 Report Posted December 28, 2024 Isn't that like the locking knob on the Harbor freight saw. Out to unlock and in to lock. Just a guess. I have no knowledge of either saw. Quote
