Stephen Adler
Hi all, I am wondering if there is some software or something out there where a guy can figure out which pieces of wood will come out of a larger piece of stock. I guess for a better description, is there like a digital graph paper out there or something that I can add all the required sizes of the pieces I need for a project onto a larger, nominally sized piece of wood, to avoid waste? As a backup, I am thinking of cutting cereal boxes or something thin like that up and marking their sizes on them and laying them on a piece of wood before I cut out the different pieces I need. Just wondering if anyone has any good tips or knows of some program that I can get. Thanks Dan
don in brooklin on
If you google "cutlist" there are lots of programs and ideas. I used to have an old one for making panel doors but I can not find. Lumberjocks has a tested one use if you design in Sketch up. http://lumberjocks.com/daltxguy/blog/5143 Good luck
