GreggA Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago Has anyone ever purchased or used these? I'm thinking about buying some but looking for opinions first. I already ordered Baltic birch from them and was very pleased. Quote
Jim McDonald Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago I bought two a couple of years ago, used one quite successfully and still waiting on the correct project for the second. Quote
Barry5180 Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago I did a few years back. It cuts well but keep in mind you get a distinct two tone effect on the edges. It happened to be the look I was going for but it all depends on the project Quote
GreggA Posted 18 hours ago Author Report Posted 18 hours ago I'm probably going to order this in a couple days.... Quote
GreggA Posted 18 hours ago Author Report Posted 18 hours ago There prices for those size sheets are really not bad at all Quote
don in brooklin on Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago I bought what was called Craft ply from local supplier. It sounds similar. Looks great but I found that the bottom layer split. When the fret was narrow it split the top layers. It makes great backer board. Quote

I always found the edges difficult to finish decently. Quote

kmmcrafts Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Hmm, Haven't tried that stuff before but I've used the 5/32 size of this stuff from Home Depot and so far it's been good to me.. Though I was using it for portrait type work that was framed.. kinda bought it for the first time back during Covid when BBply was unavailable in my local stores and I run across this stuff.. Works great for using in my laser too.. actually designed for laser work.. some don't realize how toxic the "burning" of laser engraving the glues and don't realize you shouldn't be lasering just any old plywood.. Other sources to search out thin plywood is search for laser cutting plywood.. there are many different speacies of wood available besides just birch and maple etc.. in thin 1/8" and 1/4" so that might be a good option too if you're looking for something different. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Columbia-Forest-Products-5-32-in-x-1-ft-x-1-ft-7-in-PureBond-Maple-Plywood-Project-Panel-10-Pack-4940/312284408 Quote
Denny Knappen Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago I bought some several years ago and still have some left. No problems with the ones I cut. Quote
JTTHECLOCKMAN Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago (edited) I just bought a load of BB plywood from them 2 weeks ago. Have to say not having to cut down to manageable size from full sheets is a plus. The quality of their wood is a plus. The overall prices is a huge plus. The shipping for that much weight was reasonable. I am using it for jigs and other projects not scrollsaw related. I could buy full sheets from my lumber store but as I said cutting down is not so easy any more. The boxes are heavy when buying 30 sheets of each at a time. That should hold me for some time.
